according to nielsen aka "mr. i'm monitoring you watching my buddy mr tv screen", superbowl XLIII was the most watched superbowl in history, and thusly the second highest rated program ever, second only to that m*a*s*h finale.

that amazes me.
the only logical reasoning could be that there are officially now too many americans with pack mentality, with nothing better to do because of the current economic situation and so hard on their luck that they've regressed to enjoying the most base of american traditions.
