it's staggering for me to think about this. when i think about jordan, queen rania comes to mind and how i thought they were starting to become more progressive with promoting women's rights. there are obviously a lot of cultural differences regarding why this is more acceptable in some countries (patriarchal societies , traditional family power dynamics, etc); it really just makes me wanna do a in-depth study on it all.
